Baby Update: 38 weeks

Well I had another Midwife appt. today and it went really well. I am dilated almost to 3cm and still 70% effaced. Everything is still looking good. I was able to schedule my induction. I asked them when I could have this baby and they told me that they will induce in the 39th week. Since I plan on having an epidural they said that it doesn't really matter if I am induced or go into labor naturally. So I am scheduled to go in next Friday, May 8th just one day before my due date. If I don't go into labor sooner then that will be the day I have my baby girl. I am getting nervous and excited. I can't wait to be done with being pregnant and to see my baby girl. Yea!!! Only 9 days!

Almost There: 37 1/2 weeks

I can't believe that I could be having this baby any day now. I am no where close to ready. We still need to pick out a name. I need to pull out the baby blankets and the little bit of girl clothes I have (thanks to my sisters) and wash them all and find room for them in Aaron's dresser. I probably should go shopping for some girl clothes. I got so many clothes for Aaron from baby showers that I didn't need to go shopping until he was over a year old. Since this is my second child I don't have the luxury of baby showers so I need to go shopping but I never feel up to it. I don't really need anything big (except maybe a double stroller) I just need girl stuff.

I had my appointment today with the midwives. Last week I decide to switch from my doctor to midwives since they were part of the same company. I like the midwives a lot more. I didn't feel any connection with my doctor and I hated that I always had to wait for him to tell me that everything looks good. The midwives are so much more personable and they actually took the time to get to know me. Midwives spend a good portion of the labor with me instead of the doctor who shows up for the final push.
They checked me out today and I was already dilated to 2cm and are 70% effaced. She is head down and everything is looking good. This is definitely a change from my first pregnancy. I was dilated to 1cm up until past my due date and they had to soften my cervix before they induced labor. Sorry if this is too much info but I probably have mostly moms reading this anyway. :)
I am so excited to be done with this pregnancy because it has been harder on me. I have had horrible heart burn and acid reflux after everything I eat. Every morning I still have morning sickness that has never gone away during this pregnancy. I have a hard time sleeping comfortably through the night. My back has been killing me for last couple of months. And it is so much harder to be pregnant with a toddler to take care of. I hardly ever get to nap. And as much as I love to feel her move around in me sometimes she moves in a very uncomfortable position causing me to run to the bathroom. Most of all I am excited for the pregnancy to be over so I can meet my little girl.

Of course I am excited for Aaron to be a big brother. It will be an adjustment at first but I know he will take care of her. He is still the center of our attention and this morning he insisted that I put his church tie on him. What a cute kid!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter Everyone!
This is Aaron showing off his new Sunday Easter outfit. We have been needing to get him new Sunday clothes but never have any luck. He is now 21 months old and his old Sunday shirt was for a 12 month old. His pants were for 18 months but they wouldn't stay buttoned and they were a little high water on him.
So yesterday we took a trip to Idaho Falls and after having dinner at Olive Garden we went to the mall and went to 3 diffterent department stores all at a different ends of the mall and finally found a pair of pants at Dillards and shirts at JC Penny's. I was exhausted after having to walk across that mall. Why is it so hard to find boy Sunday clothes but there are millions of dresses everywhere? At least our next one is a girl.

Aaron is getting ready for his Easter Egg hunt. Here is his easter basket full of yummy candy left by the Easter Bunny.
An Egg!
Aaron found something more fun to do then find eggs all over the yard.
Now off he goes to find the eggs with more candy inside of each one.

This is a video of Aaron's first Easter egg hunt. I thought he did a great job!

Happy Easter!

I've been lost

If you have been wondering where I have been lately it's because I have been lost. Eric has been into this show since towards the end of the first season and I watched a few episodes with him but never really got into it. When the new season started in January I decided that I wanted to watch it with Eric since everyone has been talking about how great the show was. Eric didn't think that I would understand much so he challenged me to watch the show from season 1. Since they have all the episodes uploaded online I started watching them on the laptop before bed almost every night. We would watch between 1 to 3 episodes a night. After almost 3 months I finally watched the latest episode last night. Now that I am caught up I don't know what to do. I really enjoyed being able to watch it all the time and now I can't watch the next episode until next wed. like everyone else. This is a pretty good show that keeps you guessing and questioning.
I liked it a lot but now I must get off the island and start focusing on other things like getting ready for this baby to come. 5 more weeks!!!
